From the Principal's Desk

Kanohar Lal Snatakottar Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Meerut is an institution with a unique identity. Immersed in the confluence of excellent education, clean environment and technological knowledge, the college students are now serving in high positions, making adage “The learned are respected everywhere” a reality. Fifty-seven years ago in 1969,a great visionary, a dedicated social worker and an ardent champion of female education, Seth Kanohar Lal Ji lit the lamp of education in the form of Kanohar Lal Snatakottar Mahavidyalaya, Meerut, dispelling the darkness of ignorance and paving the way for hundreds of girls to pursue higher education.

This is an institution that has carved a niche for itself among prestigious colleges due to its quality-oriented teaching. In the current educational landscape where competition is constantly increasing, it is our duty to educate our students not only traditionally but also vocationally and professionally. With the core principle of women's empowerment in mind and the motto “Be your own light” as a guiding force, the college strives for holistic development of its students. Emphasis is always on quality, positivity and self-reliance.Organizing of seminars and other co-curricular activities like competitions as well as ICT enabled teaching are some of the special features of our college.

Making students education oriented will always remain my top priority for the college. The National Education Policy-2020 has emerged as a challenge in the field of education and it will be my responsibility to disseminate it to both students and teachers.Today, our government through the National Education Policy is inspiring everyone to create a new dawn for the future, especially through various skills and vocational courses.

I am not only hopeful but also fully confident that with the cooperation of parents,students, teachers and members of the management committee, our college will continue to progress on the path of excellence in the field of education with its superior teaching,qualitative and quantitative examination results and positive approach.
